Motorcraft A/C Compressor Assemblies are engineered to provide original equipment performance and reliability. All Motorcraft A/C Compressor Assembly designs undergo rigorous lab and real world tests in order to meet Ford engineering standards. Scroll type Compressors are used for heavy duty applications while fixed swashplate designs are used when reduced NVH is required. Scroll type compressor variable capacity helps reduce clutch cycling, contributing to a longer clutch life and forged aluminum scrolls contribute to the overall strength and durability. Fixed swashplate designs use forged aluminum pistons and swashplates with an integral pulse reduction design to help reduce noise and improve durability. Both styles use ball bearings and all compressors feature micro finished internal parts for efficiency and hardened for durability. Dual center seam seals for to help protect against leaks.
