Motorcraft Sensor Assemblies must endure a series of punishing tests to ensure that they meet strict Ford O.E. quality, performance and durability standards that include Key Life testing to the equivalent of 10-years/150,000 miles for passenger cars and light trucks.|Motorcraft Sensor Assemblies are also performance tested through a series of demanding test-to-failure endurance and materials durability tests to ensure long lasting quality and use-life, including tests for leakage, extreme temperature and humidity operation, vibration endurance, connector integrity, fluids compatibility and more. The Motorcraft Air Temperature Sensor Assembly uses a thermistor air temperature sensor that reacts to temperature changes in the air entering the engine induction system with changes in electrical resistance - telling the engine control module to adjust the fuel/air mixture for optimal combustion performance. The Sensor also works with the vehicle's electronics system to actuate an instrument panel warning light that alerts the driver should engine air intake temperature become too high. Email us for a Return Authorization (RA) number first, and make sure the item reaches our warehouse within those 30 days.
